Pilates

Pilates is resistance training that is centered around precise, controlled movements that emphasize flexibility, strength, and body awareness.  Each mat class takes the traditional movements you do on the pilates reformer equipment, modifies them for the mat.   Since these exercises focus on breathing while using bodyweight resisted movement to build core strength, you leave the class feeling challenged without jumping around or the bulky pump you get from traditional weight training classes.  These classes are intense without the weight making it perfect for beginners and advanced.
